Fairchild Family

I originally was going to post the Legends In Concert Operation Baking Gals Team members.  Gals, please forgive me and I am sure you will agree.  I am delaying this to dedicate today’s blog to Steve Fairchild & Family.  We are honored to have this very talented and dedicated gentleman as part of our cast with his tribute to “Garth Brooks”. More importantly we value his genuine love and concern for his family, friends, community and strangers.  It does not stop with Steve, as his wife Anne and daughters Tiffany, Savannah and Madison also touch so many in a unique and spirited way. The Fairchild family experienced a devastating tragedy today, as their family business was destroyed by fire.  We are grateful that there were no injuries but saddened by their “loss” of which represented a true American Family Business with values and genuine customer satisfaction.  Painter’s Ice Cream and the Fairchild Family will move forward and we are here to support them in any way we can.  Our hearts, hands and prayers are here for you.

    Dear Steve and family,
I have to admit when I was reading the blog from Chris my heart stopped because when she mentioned a loss I thought the worst, so I was actually relieved when she mentioned your business was the loss. I am so sorry to hear about this but it really does put everything in perspective. Thank goodness no one was harmed! My thoughts and prayers are with your family!
    Love and God Bless,
    Kristi

  7. You’re a remarkable guy. You have a great career and a lovely family and friends and colleagues who wish you nothing but continued success. You will handle this situation with your characteristic good attitude, your ongoing faith and your remarkable capacity for hard work. That being said I have to ask… How the heck did you manage to get ice cream to burn?
Be reminded of what you have known for all these years, my friend, if you can think of anything I can do for you, I am but an e-mail or phone call away.
    All the best,
    Brian

  12. Lyn Smith & "Crew" at Capt.Dick's says:

    Dear Steve and family,
There can be no words of comfort at this tragic
time for you and your family. You are so loved by so many here in Murrells Inlet as well as the
Grand Strand area that we certainly can pray for
blessed assurances for you to remember that we all stand with you as you pick up the pieces. As you have sung to all of us in your endearing style of Garth Brooks, “Ain’t Goin’ Down (Til the Sun Comes Up)” as you have “Friends in Low Places”. Let the “Thunder Roll” ’cause even if “Nobody Gets Off in This Town”, you are “Much to Young (To Feel this Damn Old)” and “Mr Blue” is not YOU:-)
“We Shall Be Free” and right there with you when you need us, because you did “Take The Keys to My Heart”, YOU took us to “The Dance” and we thank God you and your family were “Standing Outside The Fire”. We thank God no one was hurt. Our prayers are with you and we trust you will call if you need us. We hope you can just take one step at a time for a while and remember that there are so many people who care about you and are thinking of and praying for you and your family. You are considerate and thoughtful, as well as caring for others, a business man as well as a performer, true to the tribute you have given as Garth Brooks for all of us to enjoy and we know you will do what you have to do and you will succeed. God Bless the Fairchild Family.

Steve, we are so sorry to hear about the fire at your business. All the lousy economic news from wallstreet takes a back street when it’s someone you know who’s knocked back on their heels. We know you will bounce back and we look forward to our favorites at the new Painters or what ever you call it. Thanks to you and the Legends crew for supporting our son, Chris, with the Baking Gals.

  18. Pat O'Dell says:

It saddens me so to hear about the fire at Painters. You two don’t deserve this. Instead you deserve blessings, so many that they cannot be contained. I know God is on your side and will help you and Ann as you struggle to make this lemon into lemonade. You have touched the lives of many people in many avenues. I just wish I were there to help. I see you have friends everywhere. Me too.

  19. Bonnie Andrews says:

We wish the Fairchild family a successful journey in rebuilding “Painter’s” and the beachwear business. All of you will be in our daily prayers! The Andrews’ Family.

  20. Tom says:

Sorry for your loss. But, I have an idea! Why not get together with Jamm’n Leather and open up in the storefront that they can’t find a restaurant to fill. That way, with your name recognition and the need to find a good place to relocate, and Jamm’n Leather’s immediate need to place a restaurant in that location, you both might find the answer to both your prayers…hmmm.
